Shooting a jet down with a tank shell...

...Is possibly the most satisfying thing to do in this game. I pulled it off twice in one round the other day with the same pilot coming in for bombing runs, wasn't even hand gliding. Anyone else managed to pull this off?

yes many times.. its easier to do when you have pilots who like to slow down for their bombing runs

I had some luck and did it with a AT-noob-tube but my smile freezed when the plane-wreck crasched into my teamies and gave me the TK and vehicle damage.

Great fun, only did it twice while the plane was in the air, but before take off, plenty!

You can also shoot down the bombs as they are falling and before they hit you.

I took out a jet with an AK once. now that was satisfying. never done one with a tank though, but i dont really get in tanks, im claustrophobic.

Haha, I've managed to noob tube jets a few times given I'm playing AT 90% of the time. Once I managed to down a J-10 and the wreck landed more or less right at my feet, screenie: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../screen022.jpg

I've done it sometimes, though not with a tank, but with an AT. It is very very satisfying indeed.

You can also shoot down the bombs as they are falling and before they hit you.

Now that is a thing you could give to the mythbusters :P

i've never done it myself

though i do like nailing planes with the hydras (if my pilot cant TV them) its rare but fun!

TFS's tanker did it on a 12v12 on OCS in a CAL match, but the jet was OUT of VIEW DISTANCE:shock:

I have only done it a couple times but have had pretty good success shooting down attack choppers with the tank.

i've done it a few times, also shot down jets a couple times while piloting a chopper(not with tv missle). thats even funnier i think...
