Hi soldiers, we have some good news for all you BF2 players out there, as you may well be aware there has been some rumors about
a new patch for BF2 and I'm glad to confirm there will be one final patch released for BF2.
We have taken note of the communities biggest concerns regarding fixes for BF2 and implemented them in this patch of which you
will find the details below.
As a good will gesture to all you guys who have supported BF2 over the past year i am pleased to confirm that the BF2 booster packs,
Euro forces and armored fury will be included in the patch and will go in rotation with normal BF2 maps, i know the community were asking
for this and we have delivered on it.
Unfortunately i do have some bad news regarding ranking in BF2, as of the march 01 2007, stats updating for BF2 will cease and stats will not be recorded anymore, we feel the ranking has gone as for as it can with BF2 and maybe this will bring less tension to the game and make it more fun to play for a number of players.
Thats all i have for you guys at the moment, all there is left to say is i hope you love the patch and ill see you on the battlefield soldiers.

Patch v4.2
GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
-J10 has been adjusted and brought in line with other jets in terms of balance.
-Hit detection has been tweaked.
-Special forces weapon unlocks will be available for all players.
-Bf2 booster pack maps are now in rotation with BF2.
-Commander mode has been removed from IO mode.
-Attack helicopter seat swapping is not possible whilst airborne.
BUG FIXES
-Fixed CTDT when team swapping.
-Fixes server and favorites menu problems.
-optimized Bf2 memory usage.
