Instructions for use :

Ensure your retail copy of BF2 is patched to v1.41. remove all previous versions of PR you had installed and delete the folders manually if left (shouldn't be) at c:program files/ea/battlefield2/mods/pr (don't delete the "bf2" folder !!! , delete the previous PR installation files if you don't want them anymore, install this single download file and off you go screaming for joy

It's not released yet.

I can even access the damned website because of the sheer number of people hitting F5 and waiting for a release.

MrD are you sure those are supposed to be released to the public just yet? There is no mention on the front page, nor on the tester forums.

Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough?

I had the links up at first and saw this on there site. So I took them out.

IMPORTANT REQUEST TO NEWS SITES:
PLEASE do NOT post this to your news sites. This is an intentionally "soft" launch of Project Reality v0.5 as a favour to our dedicated community members. We will be doing a more "formal" launch later in the day along with a website update.

Again please do NOT post this release announcement to your news site.

If you wish to mirror the files, please post your intent to do so into this thread including links to the hosted files. We'd really appreciate as much help with mirroring from reliable servers with good bandwidth capacities.

I'm a little frustrated that I don't have the file already due to a corrupted download, and now have to download it like a normal community member.

we should have at least 4 high speed seeders on the torrent.

If we waited for everything to be in place... it would be another 8 horus or so..... I decided to post the .torrent and a single direct link so we can get on with the release.

We should have more mirrors up later today, but .. for those who can .. torrents are a much better way of distributing and downloading large files like this.

As soon as i download and then upload the client i'll post up our FTP link in here.

Upload will go at 100mb/sec so really just waiting on the d'load speed from fileplanet.

One of my members has reported seeing 0.4 servers in the list and them not being white.

Whether or not this is known by the team i don't know. Eitherway our server is now known as [PTG] 0.5 just so there's no confusion with peeps trying to join it when they have 0.4
