BF2 doesn't start after the motherboard...

I was playing BF2 for about a year without any problems. Last month my motherboard and CPU crashed. Under the guarantee they gave me a new motherboard and CPU with the same brand and model. Everything works fine including BF2142 but i cant start BF2 anymore. It just shows the logo and black screen for 2 seconds then back to desktop. I tried with both patched and not patched. I didnt install anything to my computer. So it should be about the motherboard. Are there any specific setup that i should do in BIOS ???

Try setting the AGP Aperture Size to something bigger than you have (if it even exists, i don't know)...

Have you formatted your HD after the new hardware parts were installed?

I'm with doggie on the AGP settings guess. If that makes no difference, try reinstalling the vid drivers and unloading your vid cache and letting it all reoptimize the shaders.

Annnnnd welcome to the forums :)

If it is the EXACT same motherboard and CPU, then the only way this could happen is through BIOS settings, so you dont need to reinstall any drivers. Just have a good look through your BIOS, especially the video settings. You probably have the onboard graphics on or something.

BIOS agp settings just doesnt sound right due to BF2142 being able to play fine
