  • CTD when trying to start singleplayer or Local.

When i try to start a singleplayer game or even a local game, it goes to a black screen for a few secs then back to desktop, any ideas?

    Multiplayer works fine though..

This is what I would do:

        uninstall bf
        uninstall sf
Do all this from the control panel in windows xp

        don't forget to reboot

reinstall bf to a different location than the one you chose last time you installed
        reinstall sf

        apply patch 1.41

        hope it works!

if it's just on single player and not multi then not a reinstall.

does it minimize or just CTD?

            Does it do it everytime?

Reinstall might work but if i can help you without doing that, it takers bloody ages!!!!, then might save you some time
