Doesn't allow me to enable AA

hello. Im trying to get back into playing BF2. I am currently running at 1680 x 1024 with an 1900xt.

In the video settings, I am trying to set the AA to 6x, but as soon as I hit "apply" it goes back to "off". Never had this problem before.

    Anyone know the answer?

Never had that prob. try 2x or 4x first
You can set AA in catalyst control centre if nothing else works.

Disable A.I. catalyst in the control center, thats what I had to do to get aa to work in game.

Go to your "My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles" folder. In there you will see a folder called 001. If you have more than one name set up in BF2, you'll see 002, 003, etc... Go into each of these 00x folders and open video.con. Find this line:

            VideoSettings.setAntialiasing

            and make sure it says:

            VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 6Samples

Now when you go into your BF2 AA settings, you'll see that 6x is enabled. For 4x, you do 4Samples and 2x, you do 2Samples. For some reason BF2 sometimes just doesn't let you set your AA settings in-game.

have you tried, at that point, exiting the game, restarting it, going back to options and then trying to apply more AA?

I find that issue frequently for some strange reason.

It does the same thing for me too.

You have to restart the game, change the AA setting, then restart again.

Also, everytime I play single player or play on a second account, it changes all my settings...
