ping rate problem

I need an explanation about what the ping number is on the list of servers. I thought that if my ping rate was lower than the number shown, then i could play on that server. however i almost always get kicked because my ping rate was too high. After this happened repeatedly, i tried going into servers where my ping was higher than the number, and i still got kicked for the same reason.

My ping is normally between 150-200

Lots of servers have a setting for punkbuster to kick you if your ping is too high, that is what is happening. Try finding servers where your ping is lower than 150.

The number in the server list is your ping, but not as accurate than in-game. The ping in-game is usually lower.
