Reformat

My computer is starting to screw up a bit and its time for a reformat...

Q. Will I lose my BF2 save, profile, online account etc.?

If so... is there a file somewhere in the Bf2 directory I can save onto disk to keep it?

You will not loose anything related to your account, that is saved on EA's server.

Reformatting will wipe EVERYTHING.

you will have to reset all your settings and log in with our user name and pw.

you can also save the bf2 flie in your ( my documents ) just delete you new bf2 folder and past the old one back in. that will keep all your user names and PW and settings.

it can be a good thing to get rid of that file every now and then anyway as it does start to slow down your comp after a wile, just make sure you remember your ID and password and you will be fine

Just backup your "Battlefield 2" folder in your Documents, before format. It will keep your password and login name etc... also your screenshots and settings.
