Does Battlefield 2 work with Vista Ultimate 32-Bit?
Well I received one of the first 5000 copies that went out yesterday to consumers and im interested in installing it, but i play Battlefield 2 and i wanted to know if it will work with Vista.
Anybody know?

i got Xp 2 weeks before it was launched due to buying a new PC with it preinstalled (last PC i will EVER buy pre-built) and it was great, almost every proggy worked for it, drivers gallore, all my previous and current games worked flawlessly on it, PC came with 128M ram and i upgraded to 256M for 130 bucks wow what a difference back then LOL, but that is mostly because it was based on windows NT and 2000, which had been out for awhile by then, so having conflicts wasnt so much of an issue, but vista is ground up not really based on any current windows so the driver issue/conflicts are going to be much more apparent, even with the last beta after a week i had to uninstall out of frustration, bf2 lagged like hell gah, mostly due to AtI's vista beta drivers tho. so advise would be wait for at least SP1 so at least it will be more backwards compatable. myself i am waiting for the big lineup of DX10 cards to come out, then maybe it will be worth it.

It works to some degree with the retail ultimate Vista x32. I had a hard time loading the program using the deluxe CDs, so I had to load battlefield 2. then special forces separately.
Once installled and upadted with 1.41, it always kicks me off servers with "inadequate O/S privliges" from PunkBuster.
Single player works fine though. I assume this is some sort of setting within the new Vista. I turned what i could (and know about) off, and still get the problem.
