    Remembering the old days...

ahhh, remember the old days of Battlefield 2, around when it first came out. We we're all "noobs" to the game and it was awesome exploring the maps, and learning new things.

Everyone was having rank problems but for the most part everyone was a Lance Corporal, and when you saw a Corporal, or sgt you would say either wow that guy has no life, or wow tha tguy has skillz. Back then though hacking wasn't a real problem like it is today, though for the few extreme padders that had millions on the leader board if didn't effect us really to care.

90% of the time people would crash in planes and helos becuase we weren't used to flying. Or better yet hitting a tree, lol.

Karkand wasn't that popular, everyone liked playing on all the maps for the variety.

Commanders tking players with the artillery (accidents), lol

Everyone gunning for those easy badges

Playing for 9 hours up straight, skipping school/work, not hanging out, fav TV shows became...a memory.

Blackhawk guns destroying all in it's path

ahhh, the days of version 1.0, the days when dice were loved like kings, and were master of there domain, how I miss the old days...

that sounds like something that would be said at a funeral, and BF2 hasnt died.

im disappointed to say that i missed out on those days. i got the game late. a few days before the 1.4 patch came out. i think? maybe 1.3? whichever started the vehicle drop crap. it doesnt matter.

I remember the first days bf2 came out and when I had about 100 points seeing this guy had 5000 after 2 days and I was like OMG.

He was one of the first on the boards because bf2 was released in his country before anywhere else.

I loved playing as a Spec Ops, what with the C4 throwing and all... now it's kinda boring to be on the ground. Helis used to have more rockets, always fun... and TVs went 650 meters out... wow was that ever fun.

                        They should just call 1.4 "BF2: Nerfz0r'd"

Well I came around in 1.2 when 1.3 was out ( I played 1.2 for like 4-5 months before I relised 1.3 was out) and me and my friend were about thee best team there was. Me and him didn't even know when we would play there was only one serer we went to and if me our him showed up in that server we would play for hours it was great.

The game required a lot more skill back then, the most fun part was that most of us had very little skill with BF2.

I cant count how many times that I tried to take off in a jet on the marine carrier and wound up crashing into the ocean, the only lucky thing was it was on an unranked server. Back then my favorite thing to do was get in line with an enemy squad, they used to run around the map one behind the other, and start killing them one at a time. Oh what fun. . . . . . . . . .Red

The TV missile being limited in range is a joke..
