connection problems!?!?! WTF is going on????

Okay, I'm being tortured here by the infamous connection problems message. I recently moved and switched from a DSL ISP to Time Warner. But it was doing this even before I moved. So I shut down my firewall for a little while and it went away then it came back. So I reinstalled the ffin game and manually updated punkbuster. But still this madness is occurring. Does anyone have any solutions I haven't thought of??? My ping jumps from less than 100 to 400-800 every 2-3 seconds in game it is impossible to play. But my connection out of game runs fine. This make about as much sense as a car without a steering wheel after the fact that I reinstalled the game.

BTW: when I do malware scans only tracking cookies come up.

cable right? There are latency test programs. it is probably just the issue of cable connection in your neighborhood. See if there is a DSL option.

I have noticed that when I have 4xAA on the connection to the server has been lost message appears almost straight away everytime i join a server, however with it off I seem to be able to play with no problems. Try turning AA off, you may have to go to the video.con file in your profile to force it as mine seemed unwilling to turn off through the game, set 'VideoSettings.setAntialiasing' to 'off' and see how it runs.
