Ok first off i would like to say that this is just my personal opinion so there really is no need to flame the piss outa me for it.
Here goes:
In this game i have learned that different types of weapon sets really are usefull on different levels.
So a type of weapon has its usefull levels and it has its levels where its almost useless.
One level.. Masher city on the mec side. is a great chance for a real team effort. Regardless of how you play this level will always favor the usmc team. But that is great. makes the game a challenge.
One way that i have figured out how to give the mec team a real advantage on this level is going as an engineer and laying mines at most of the intersections. Keep in mind that you need to leave a outlet for your guys aswell..
In theory you are laying a buncha anti armor stuff on the ground.. yet at the same time you can go and do other things.. AND on top of that your team should be almost untouchable by that because you have taken precautions to give them an out.
That in theory would give you three awsome perks over the usmc..
You lay mines and leave a nice small outlet for your team to drive through. they can see the mines you lay. so this is very simple right?
Wrong.. your own teamates hit the mines and die.. then punish you for it.
As such you get banned from the server almost instantly.
This seems terrible to me as it eliminates about 50 percent of the combat effectiveness of the engineer.. now i know a ton of people will say.. they are for support so who cares..
But on certain levels the engineer can be a killing machine. and even when doing so takes hardly anything away from his support actions because the mines can be layed and then forgotten about untill the kills start rolling in.
So my problem is that i have been banned from about 2 servers now for excessive team killing that is not even my fault.. hell i even warn all my teamates at the start of the round that i am laying mines and that they should be on the lookout... AND THEY STILL RUN THEM OVER AND PUNISH ME..
now i know that i cannot do anything about this.. but its a thing that i felt should be brought up.
