    I need help!!!

hi! i post this thread because my graphic card (an ati x1300, 512 MB) runs very bad.
i bought the card a month ago to substitute an other ati (128 MB).
ironically the old graphic card ran better than the x1300 , so i want to buy another card, but i don't want to do the same mistake.
    my pc hardware is:

-motherboard ASUS P4P800se + cpu asus 2.4 ghz (overclocked to 2.8)
    -ati x1300 512 mb
    -1.5 gb RAM
    -hard disk maxtor 150 gb
-sound card integrated with the motherboard + drivers SoundMAX
    -10 Mbit connection

so i ask you an opinion for this buy. i accept every opinion and advice, i thank you all for the interest and i apologize for the bad english.:)

your seeking a AGP 8x graphics card, it really depends on how much you want to spend,

the best AGP card released is a ATi x1950Pro

if thats too much to spend then the x1650Pro is a good

(used komplett to get a rough idea of what they would cost in euros )

What was the exact name of the card you had before? The thing is video memory means very, very little towards the actual performance of the card.

          between 100 and 180 € (130\230 $)

and what about Nvidia Geforce 7600GS 512Mb?
p.s.: the old graphic card was an ati radeon 9600 128 mb

I would go for a X1650 pro as the low end of your budget and a X1950 pro or 7800gs as the high end. The 9600 is better than the X1300.
