1.41 patch problem

I've been looking all over trying to figure this out but.
i bought bf2 deluxe about 2 weeks ago I've downloaded the 1.41 patch. it says it was installed successfully. and but im playing bf2 i hit alt+tab and the bar for it on the menu says 1.1.2 etc.. and when i turn on bf2 it still gives me the New Patch 1.41 thing.
anybody have a solution?

No solution. The 1.1.2 thing doesn't refer to the version of BF2. If you can see servers and play online, you are fine.

Actually, everyone has that stupid "1.41" patch thing. Also, the in-game version is something like 1.12965-7650 or some random gibberish.

Holy crap, so I've been spending hours trying to fix the game when nothings been wrong with it.... this sucks. Well, at least it works.

So even though the game is patched to 1.41, whenever I go to play online, the 1.41 patch popup will show up????

Yes, it will always pop up until EA changes it. (More than likely never)
