Actually, I went into a K+P server the other day, but I did not do anything in there. I took 3 ss's, and left. There was a 3-star, 2-star, 3 full birds, 2 majors, a bunch of captains, and misc. other ranks.

This was on Texas gaming knife and pistol, they even have a website, and have been running the same server for a very very long time.

Your logic is completely flawed, as when I play against him, I kill him more then he has ever killed me, yet he is higher ranked. I should automatically get his rank if I kill him by your logic...

Im sorry but he if gets to keep his stats it makes a total mockery of the Global stats system , you can whore ammo bags in a K/P server like Crack to a gang of whores .

THE#LORD#OF#WEED Ammo points go to 65,000 odd , thats the point of K/P servers not being legit .

Well the only way someone's individual stat's could be rendered useless is if they obtained them in a non-legitament way, are you trying to tell us something? :laugh:

I'm not sure where your logic comes from, no offense, but how does some 11 year old who wants people to think he's the "ub3r l337 ****" because he has a 321-4 knife k/d, make YOUR stats useless? The stats are there to track your progress, and gives you a visual of your performance.

That's why.

The sample can't be a single person. If it is, it really isn't a statistic anymore. Statistics are in themselves tools of comparison, with out any control over the accuracy of that sample they cease to have any relevance.


Could any game have an entirely accurate stats system? Of course not, but it could be a hell of a lot better then it is now. I've seen it work in pay race leagues when I used to sim-race. Races were monitored closely enough that each individual's stats were a fairly good representation of that driver's skill and experience. It worked quite well at rank restricted races. If you restricted all but the top tier of players that's usually what you got.

That's why the BFROE was created. Although because it's a horribly written document it probably only adds to the problem. But if it were even remotely enforced it might help a little.

It doesn't take caring about your own stats, or playing for stats to recognize the fact that the system is broken and is a deterrent to the over all quality of the game and community. Let's face it we all have to play together. Although there are unranked servers there are not enough to support any type of population in the size of a community. In fact most of the servers that stat conscious players play on should be unranked, not the other way around. Which is the case most of the time.

The game was sold on the premise of a global stat tracking system.

If that system is being exploited, it should be removed.

I find this the most legitimate argument for the revamping of the stats system, wiping out of an individual's statistics, and the unranking of servers in violation of the BFROE.

You can say "why should you care" but it's a valid argument that some one paid for a game that was suppose to contain an added feature of Global Ranking.

When the GPs become meaningless then that person has a legitimate beef. It's not ego that drives Mr.Benis' argument it's a question of quality of product and claims made that can't be achieved.

dont care about stat padders anymore......i stopped caring waaay back when when i noticed they totally destroyed any sense of knife stats with padding..........tell me....who's number one with the knife...legitemately????

being as the knife stats are rendered useless ive given up entirely on stats, badges, awards, etc.......

This is best alternative to dealing with the problem, and one I personally endorse. But not caring isn't an endorsement nor a pass on holding EA/DICE responsible for the mess that the stats system has become. It's simply a way of improving the game itself from a personal stand point. It is for me anyway.

LOL, why would you doubt my claim? He absolutely sucks with anything but the grenades. I cannot count the number of times I have run around a corner, seen him chucking nades, shoot him, and have him not even care, just try and get a couple more nades out. He is the most pathetic person I have ever seen play an online shooter...

Go to his server, get on the other side, and look for him, not hard to find him, as he will be in one of three nade spamming spots, and will just go back to one of those three after he dies.

As to your claim that "he has invested more time" his "valuable invested time" was not spent increasing his skills in the game, it was spent throwing ammo bags, and throwing grenades, at least the majority of it.

I think it;s hillariuos , if one thing it will prove a point . Someone will see this thread and report him ( i could not give a flying figg in all honesty ) if DICE/EA/BFROE don't do anything then it makes a total sham of the whole battlefield game .

K/P servers ,,do what i do ,make up a player that you really really dont care about ,,go in them and spam grenades eveyhwere , the other one that has me rolling on the floor is jumping in a vod and running everyone over ,i cant help but giggle . I ususaly get to run about 8 over before i get thrown out .

Why a player account you dont care about?
Just run in there and nade/gun them anyway......... Its not against the ROE too be in a k/p server.... after all you can press the "Play Now" button and be put in a K/P server.
None of us use the play now feature/icon (delete that sh1t) lol
But newbs to the game could easily be placed in there and think its the "norm"
Go in with you weapon of choice and gun them fookers down lol :laugh:

Anyone up for a test........
We will infiltrate a K/P server playing normal rules. We go in "guns" blazing...
And we ALL take a screen if/when we get kicked......
Then see how long it takes to shut the server? (server=money..... will it get shut down?)

Statpadders and cheaters are what makes the stats a sham!!!!!!!!!! NOT the stats!
Look at my earlier post........
who is up for invading one of these servers (guns blazing) and we ALL take a screen......
We all play by the rules (NOT)............. they kick us for not..... everyone take a screen and see if the server goes down or not....

I dont know why some people have this thing against K/P servers I play on them some times ( dont flame me) and I think its really fun and a change from all those automatic weapons and do some pistol battles, to me I find the pistol requires more skill than spraying bullets at the target. Just my opinion.

But thats not really the same because I'm just playing the game the way I like to play at it look at my stats I'm still a low staff sergeant. The way I see it is if you don't play them ALL the time it should be okay I still play on regular servers most of the time just when I want a little change I go and play a pistol knife server. Come to think of it I havnt played on a K/P server for a while or any BF2 server for a while. Gotta get back on that Bf2 train.
