you're right, its sad if a cheap death in a video game makes someone truly angry; but it just makes the game less enjoyable to the people who are trying to play fairly

That is playing fair, you're using equiptment that was in your kit, placed there by the designers of the game. If you, them, anyone doesn't like it.... send all your complaints to ea/dice, I'm sure theyd love to screw us all with another patch of doom.


Aside from this are you going to continue to run your thread off topic or ?

its as fair as running around with the gl armed and not bothering to take the time and energy to aim with bullets. the designers of the game are not almighty unflawed gods. they make mistakes, just because something is in the game, that doesnt mean its fair to use. the hotel glitch was part of one of the versions (1.3?) but it's not fair to use. there is a rock on jalalabad that you can like next to and shoot people through it while remaining behind it, its part of the game, but its not fair. claymores used to be fair when they could kill friendlies and be destroyed by nades, but now they take no skill to use, no strategy about avoiding tks and at the same time, putting it in a place that is likely to have an enemy walk by.

there will be no more patches, dont worry

i dont really care about running the thing off topic, i got a response and i now know that some people think its an ok idea and you hate it; thats not to say that i wont check the tread again later to see if anyone else has commented on it.

and as much as ive enjoyed our lovely conversations over a few treads, i wont be posting anymore tonight, im going to bed cus ive been up for 21 hours.

BRILLIANT!!!

C&C was a good game, although i never played renegade i think i get the idea of what u r talking about. A combination of fps and rts would be so complicated and fast and exciting. that is what i like. that would be such a hardcore game. good idea man.

Brillant idea,me and my friends have being waiting for a game like that, I think it would be good as a MMORGP aswell, like Peoplekillingmachine's idea.

my point is that renegade isnt that type of game, and if you dont want to play a game like this, you dont have to, but there are obviously some players that would find it fun.
and im not trying to change bf2, i just think a game in this style where the fps aspect was similar to bf2 (one of the best shooters ever) would be fun.

i agree tho, change is BAAAD. it makes me so angry that people had to take a great thing like pong and then change it!!!! they uped the resolution and made it 3d and put in objectives and stuff and now we have a whole range of pong variations like bf2 that suck ***.
