internet????

Hi all, my internet connection is on the Fritz, I don’t understand it, one moment it is working fine then the internet turns off and I have to redial to get back onto broadband. To me it sounds like my modem is busted but I am not sure. But every time my modem is warm/hot to the touch, can you help me????? also my internet speed is going from a ragen from 5 mps to 7.87 mps
edit: i got my internet upgraded for 2.2mps a week and a bit ago, i have a theory that my modem cant handle it.

i would have thought all adsl modems could cope with any speeds, but to overheat its a new one on me, my adsl router gets warm but wont disconnect.

you might be able to find a adsl modem in the shops either that or contact your ISP and buy a new one.

When I upgraded my speed the last two times, I got a new modem each time.

ok, i have somehow manage to make it stay on for longer now, dont now y but ty for the help, if it happens again ill go get a new modem
