He's actually a Lieutenant General. This kinda rank occurs when a rank higher than Colonel (i think) from a player is moved to an earlier version before the new ranks were given.

It's a glitch.

I had the same rank as it appears in the screan shot. It happened when I was a colonel and the 1.31 patch came out and I went into a 1.3 pre-patched server my rank showed as a 4 star.

The guy at the bottom is actually a colonel.

Earlier patch, 1st Lieutenant shows up as Colonel, Captain as Brigadier General, Major as Major General, Lieutenant Colonel as Lieutenant General and Colonel as General. And higher ranks as Dice or EA logo...
