    Connection Problems?

The past few nights after loading into a server and playing for 15mins or less I've been getting a Connection Problem message that kicks me to the multiplayer screen on BF2. I've tried several different things, asked a few friends and still havent came up with an answer, plz help me out here

List out all your hardware (and by all, I mean all all). List your ISP type. What kind of connection do you have to it? Wireless? What is your ping on these servers? Are there other computers on your network that are on the internet while you game?

      try to manual update PB

i have same problem and i update PB manually i didn't use PBSetup and i don't have any problems for now ( knock, knock on wood )

go to evenbalance.com and download new PB client files and overwrite files

also if you have dualcore there is another solution

            Re: Connection Problems?

I've had the same, it'll loop the sound for 1 minute then tell me I have lost connection to server.

Hardware is not important, because it works perfectly on Vista 64-bit. Running processes:

            firefox (no problems before)
            rivatuner (no problems before)
            nvtray (no problems before)
zlclient (zonealarm firewall - never gave problems before)
wltray (wireless tray - never gave problems before)
            explorer
            smss
            services.exe
4x svchost (no changes to services were made)
            vsmon (zonealarm TrueVector monitor)
wltrysvc + bcmwltray (wireless - i dont always use it)
avg family (all processes associated with the free edition)
            nvsvc (nvidia driver helper service)
isafe (Zonealarm - no problems prior to)
            alg
            lsass
            ctfmon
            daemon tools
            jusched

Not a single one of those gave problems before. I'm guessing it's Zonealarm, but I can't disable the firewall or I get ****ed over within 30 seconds.

try the manual update. Your specs seem good enough.

This is the 'automatic updater' for java; I always turn this off in the java control panel applet. Probably isn't causing a problem but I don't want things constantly going to the internet to see if updates are available.

I turn off all auto updaters. When I'm interested in an update, I scan for it.

Thanks that seemed to help. *Knock on wood*

Have played around 4 games or so now, without having any problems.

Punk is a love hate relationship. I'm glad it worked. You won't have to do it too often, but I usually check once every couple of days for the heck of it.
