beware the Laser guided missles.
If randomly shot without locks, or sometimes even with a lock...Ive had them hit friendly vehicles.
If your lucky youll get a pilot that uses your Laser missles above his carpet bombing. Ive found its better to have a bomber pilot line you up for LG shots and save his bombs for areas congested or during your reload.
I love just raping commander assets with the LGMs. I can take out two artillery thingies with one missile if I aim right. Also if you have a good pilot you can shoot planes down with them.
If you are infact talking about LGM's, everything that can be said has pretty much BEEN said...
I remember when I couldn't use the LGMs for crap. Now after training myself to use them properly, and to the best advantage, it's pretty easy.
All it takes is a little practice, soon you'll be an expert. LGMs, as stated before, can be guided or lased to a target, arguably it's most effective when you lase something, that way you don't suffer the possibility of a teamkill. (only vehicles can be lased)
You have to have a good pilot with you, someone who's smart enough to know that carpet bombing might not be the wisest choice (i.e Tank taking outpost cluttered with friendlies). This is when lasing comes in handy. Surgical air strikes rule.
Guiding takes some skill, buy after you're familiar it will be a breeze. I use guided to take out enemy assets and to strike contested outposts. Leave lasing for moving targets.
A clear lock, as said before, is indicated by a long buzzing tone. It's important that you not fire until you have a tone, because friendlies look the same as enemy under the tracking equipment.
