Interested in making $ modding?

This is just a general shout out to anyone who is interested in taking their modding/mapping to the next level. I am currently investigating ad revenue potential in mods/custom maps. While I can't speak for all, I can say with some certainty, that most of the people involved in modding aren't in it for any form of monetary gain.

Generally those interested in ads are looking to make a mod feel more realistic. You would see coke machines and the like in urban settings. A real estate ad plastered on the side of a farmhouse isn't realistic. (Or is this a completely separate venture?)

I'm not trying to flame or harass you (Trust me, I'm not this subtle). Just want to provide you with a little insight as to how the modding community works.
