We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I have installed a new Creative X-Fi Extreme Audio sound card. Unfortunately BF2 does not detect the new hardware. When I select "Creative X-Fi" from the Options/Sound menu the game tells me that I wouldn't have the appropriate hardware for this setting.
Hate to tell you this but the card you got is a piece of crap.
The reason BF2 won't recognize it as an X-Fi is because that card does not have the X-Fi chip on it (20KX2), and has to do all sound processing in software, can't do hardware support when there is no hardware. The card also does not support Game Mode that the rest of the X-Fi's have, as well as it has its own set of drivers (again because it doesn't have the X-Fi chip on it).
If you can the best thing to do is return it and get at least the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer.
OK. I'll return it. If you'd knew how much it took to finally get this card from that moron of a vendor, then you'd start laughing out loud.
At least in Germany we got a law that allows us to return any mail ordered items within 2 weeks.
