how to redownload my stupid booster !

I bought AF through the EA link and i need to redownload it (after reinstall of windows.).

I load up EA link and it shows AF but its shaded out. But the green button (play now) is lit up. The problem is when i click Play now, it loads normal BF2. AF is not on my HD so i know that i need to redownload it but it wont let me !!

I tried uninstall EA link - no luck
then tried reinstalling - deleting EA link cache then reinstalling - no luck
call tech support - closed

i really hate EA right now.

Can anyone help

This is just a guess, but I think that you can download the installation files where ever. If you have purchased the booster, then your account includes right to play those maps. Go to gamecopyworld and download installation files, install and there you go, should work.

Go to the Link and if it only gives you the option to PLAY and not to reinstall, then this will fix it for you.

That was my issue too. here is what you do. Follow These instructions precisely and you will have no problems. Ask questions as opposed to make a mistake.

1: Open this folder
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES
and have the folder sized so it is not the entire size of your monitor. You should be able to see the Battlefield 2 folder AND your regular desktop.

2: MOVE the Battlefield 2 folder to your desktop. It is large so it will take a moment after dragging and dropping it.

3: Go into your EA Link and now the PLAY button will instead be an INSTALL button. Hit this button

4: It will go through some startup crap and so forth and finally get to a language screen offering you English as well as other install languages. DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING YET. At this point, move the Battlefield 2 folder BACK into the EA GAMES folder.

5: Select English and continue with the install.

6: Ones install is done, do the same for Armored Fury and then finally remember to install 1.41 update.

Thats it. You should be good to go.

Well i spoke too soon. It allowed me to redownload AF which i did then moved back BF2 file like you said. When i go to load AF from the EA link that says "play now" it will only load "normal" BF2.

It IS the normal BF2 - just you can play now some extra maps (Operation Midnight Sun, Operation Harvest, Operation Road Rage).

Then maps are not listed.


i thought AF plays different music when it starts.

I had af but uninstalled ea downloader then when i reinstalled still couldn't play stoped playing bf2 a little while after that.
