im no computer wiz, but dont you think fraps would do anything possible to minmize lag? You cant just say "get rid of lag, lag sucks" and its done. Its more complicated than that im sure.

I have a good pc and there were times when I would get over 50fps with fraps recording but sometimes it lags like hell

Play on a server running Battlerecorder. No strain on your PC. Just download after the round and view the battle from any angle and many speeds, except first person which sucks.

If FRAPs is really that bad, make it record at 'Half-Size'.

That, or upgrade your computer.

He's talking about actually recording footage so he can, say, import it to WMM or Vegas to make a movie, I'm pretty sure he knows about BR.

not really, you get an uncompressed avi file.

if you play at 1600x1200 and record at full size, then it will bog your computer down, but recording at 1280x1024 at HALF SIZE should not affect any reasonable computer.

read reasonable as: A64, 6600gt or better and an SATA harddrive. and theres not really an excuse to have a pc slower than that because you can buy those parts very cheaply.
