You need to get the medals before getting 20k pts.

ive had all the requirements for the rank at 20k, and in bfhq it didnt update my rank until i got 2nd luitenant (60k). Thats just bf2.

No, Sairaan is right, you have to have all the required badges BEFORE reaching the 20k point mark. Otherwise, you will remain a master sergeant until your next rank up at 50k.

If you have all the awards in place before the 50K you get Sgt Major and a pretty star, so do your homework early this time
