Really weird TV missile bug, I was targeting ME??

Last night on Gulf of Oman I experienced most peculiar bug ever. I saw enemy helo and fired my missile towards him. At the same moment I saw enemy firing his TV also. Then it went really weird. My screen flickered a split second, and the all of the sudden my missile was in totally different position than a moment before. Okay I thought no problem there is the helo and continued targeting. To my surprise, missile was not taking my commands and when the target come closer I noticed that the target was ME!!! WTF??? I was following enemy TV missile

Story has no nice end, the bugger hit us and we went down

Has any of you ever seen similar bug?

Wow, you were actually following the enemies TV missile? It should be a bug, but a really rare one.

Jeez, talk about rub it in. I've not seen or heard of that before but that sounds like a choker following the enemys TV as it kills you

Yes, it looks like that other projectiles CAN affect the trajectory of the TV-missile.
I saw it happen once... The TV hit the tank shell... And it went mayhem...

I don't think that he saw mine because the missile which I was on board as a passanger was guided, it changed it's path, but it felt like I was not in control.

Well, if he took mine to his control and I took his, then I guess I'm the first person in BF2 who TVed himself...That is funny :laugh:

It happens to me from time to time. I THINK it happens when you fire extremely close together(timewise)

From your story, ACE, it seems as if this is just a bug, but a very very rare one :P.

..its back..this is the beginning, a branch of EA, the order of the secret patches is making their final assault.
Long long ago during the golden day of peace and harmony, the players of bf2 knew nothing of patches and bugs but then they came, the order realeased patch after patch until 1.3 when the complainging might of the players beat them into the dust and 1.4 came to rescue, thign where never as they where before..bugs where still leftover and ea desperately tried to clean them up with no avail...the order swore they would return.

according to an admin of 24/7 insomnia wake.

"Alas my bretheren the first of these signs will be gay rules like no clays n stuff, then a bug thats only been seen once before(your bug) and then...the end...patch 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 1,.8 1.9 2.0, 2.1 2.2 2.3 and so one....and so one...for all eternity.
