It's something that really takes a lot of practice I guess.

I think I'm just going to have to come in when one of you are playing and ghost on you.

I get most of my kills on ground targets. I love the cannon on the F-35 and I can bomb better with it than in any other plane. If I spend all my time chasing MiGs or Sus I won't get half as many kills, but I guess I will stay alive longer if I can keep their planes grounded. The Su is really quite easy to kill. It's that stinking MiG that gives me fits unless it's smoking.

MOBB, you once invited me to your server. Everytime I came you were in game but AFK. The last time I checked your server it was empty.

Metallica, everytime I look for you you're playing Karkand or Jalalabad. lol

Jalalabad? **** no.. I have like 1 hour on that map or something.

I play karkand because everyone I play with, that's all they want to play if it's the groundpounders... generally we play air servers though.

I can't remember if you are from moders or moongamers.. either way i'm banned from both of them.

I got banned from moders because they thought I was hacking... So whatever.. no need to go into a server like that ever again. I hate people that come to that conclusion so fast.

Moongamers, I think they banned me because I was "baseraping" or something.. It was one of the hot-headed admins that banned me... basically I kept shooting him down with my F-35B and one time I killed him when he was repairing or something or near the runway, and got banned for baseraping.

When you get experienced enough, you will notice you literally have to hold back, or people will think you are hacking, and they will start leaving the server and **** and it just gets old fast.

I know alot of people who are succesfull while still cutting throttle time to time but you better know when to time it, if your screwing it up your competition will be more than happy to let you know I'm sure. I hope this helps your a little.
Well that is true but if your chasing a MiG that had used his flares already is going up u can slow down and just shoot like 4 missles and most of the time you will get him.

MiG's are ****ing easy to kill with F-35B's.

Just get 2-3 missles on and they are dead.. almost as bad as F-35B.

you need to make the j10 follow a very aggressive climb so that he will struggle to level off at 800+
hell it even catches me out a few times when i cant see the altitude on the sky :P

it is possible to follow the f35 at that height and speed, but it will pull away and you wont be able to lock onto it untill it comes back down and they nearly always come back down cause they cant see you(your too far behind).

Some main problems for me are:

              1) The MiG turns tighter and seems to break missile lock/avoid missiles even with plenty of space between me and them. It seems as soon as they bank, I bank but I just can't stay locked on long enough to get the kill. I have tried leading them keeping my reticle above them just a bit. This works well against the Su but not as well against the MiG.

              2) When I lose sight in nose cam, usually during a turn or a climb, I have to switch to flyby or chase cam but by then they are going left and I am going right. I always seem to chose the wrong way to go.

One of our admins told me the easiest way to take down a MiG in the F-35 is to quickly fire 3 missiles then switch to bomb mode while the missiles are in flight. He swears it works most of the time. Well, I tried that but it didn't seem to work for me. This guy is a realitive noob to flying but he has figured out something because he was shooting me down with ease the other day. I am just not sure if it's the three missiles/swith to bombs thing.

My buddy Kiotee says it's all about throttle. I have noticed that slowing down helps keep the MiG in range to an extent but often times flares are deployed giving the pilot a chance to get away.

              Thanks for any pointers.
when the mig starts doing sharp turns, make your turn even wider. eg, if they turn hard right, you need to turn left and then turn right, that way you will be far enough behind that a sharp turn wont loose your missile lock.

Best fair air dual in this game.

Each jet has its weekend and strength and are balanced.

It has nothing to do with 'hacking', but it has everything to do with the feeling of hopelessness.

On the team of the good pilot, boredom sets in, since the pilot is hogging all the action. They can capture flags, and win the game with virtually no resistance; but assuredly that is the most boring way to play the game.

On the team against the good pilot, frustration sets in, since the pilot is absolutely decimating them irregardless of how good, smart or stealthy they play. The world's best groundpounders and tankers would still be helpless against even a moderately decent pilot. It's that kind of feeling that angers most people and drives them to play on maps without planes and attack helicopters; or to find an air map server where there isn't a good player dominating and decimating everything in site. (Rare these days, since good players that aren't friends rarely play on the same server together, as this means competition for points, or an enemy that provides a real challenge which prevents them from getting said points.)

I myself love to play on air maps, but I never join a server with one person who has 40 kills, and 1 death, while the entire enemy team has less than 20 points. It's painfully obvious what is going on there, just by reading the signs.

Yes, you can't attack uncaps on our server with vehicle weapons. Infantry weapons are allowed but not vehicle weapons.

We're not "hot-headed" and we do not ban because someone killed us with their weapon of choice. It kills me when people think we kick or ban because we were owned by someone. We're not like some other servers where the admins will kick for things like that. We take pride in being fair, mature and reasonable. We also have people that watch over us to make sure we administer the server fairly and by the rules rather than using emotion. If you were kicked or banned it was for a legitimate reason.

We do have very specific rules. You apparently broke them. I remember seeing you on one night when you bombed the uncap 5 times before you were kicked. Now, if you can't respect the rules or don't enjoy playing on a server with such rules leave rather than forcing us to kick or ban you.

I checked the ban list. Your ban must have been a temp one because you are not on the ban list presently.

what about the F-18 vs the j-10. i was on wake and we had the airfield and there where j-10s up and i took them both out in the f-18 with out the rockets missing the j-10. it was weird. i dunno if its better against the j-10 than the F35 but its rare to have the f-18 vs j-10

For some reason on oman if the mig has no flares and is kinda going to str8 and not really turning so much its like a f35b but on kubra i can evade missles so easy even without flares thats why on oman i hate the mig.

interesting tip about going to 800 feet to avoid fire, but i brought my F35 up to over 2100 feet, yes i typed that correctly, and the j10 was still locked and firing and took me down. what gives

i've never got higher then 1,500 feet. and then of cause i drifted into the OoB zone and got a suicide

my major problem wit hthe strato-run is that i get up to 800ft (on wake usually) and i tap my afterburner. but i run out of space so quickly, and before i know it i have to bank t oavoid the the suicide. this loses me my speed and more often then not i lose a good 100ft of alt

^^ this results in the J-10 being right up my behind and just lighting me up everytime

though i must say thanjs to mobb and met so far, seeing as i am a much more accomplished pilot, i was wrecking havoc on a wake server, and those J-10s are starting to drop when i'm US

Try to limit banking to minimum. Bank about 10 or so degrees and use rudder to make circles. You dont really have to fly straight after youve reached high speed, simply fly in circles, most of the time youll stay right inside the bounds.

The reason J10 lights you up, is because its fast too, and has 15 seconds of burners, and coupled with spotting, it WILL chase you down to your first turn.
