I am installing Special Forces on a new machine (BF2 is already on there) but have lost the manual with the key on it. Is there a way to retrieve it from my existing instal or from EA somehow?

No. Lots of threads on it here though. Search for Lost CD Key and you'll see a few. There are some options like buying it from EA for about $10 and/or copying it off of the old hard drive and copying the hash code from your registry. The last way is involved and not guaranteed. I'd just toss $10 at the problem to go away.
