    Reload Animations and Choppyness

Ok so i decided to turn the BF2 music off in the options then i join a server and my reload animations became slow and are not in sync with the sounds (IE: The animation shows that the gun is not done reloading but it can shoot before the animation is finished.)
Second, the game has gotten pretty choppy. Its not lag because i checked my ping and it was at around 40-50 and i have no programs running in the background.
Before i turned the music off everything ran smoothly on default settings but now that i turned it off and back on ive encountered these problems. Any idea on how to fix?

Try to open console and typing:
    renderer.drawfps 1

You will see your frames per second. You may have put a few settings or sound to high for your system. Also every week I scan my whole PC for spyware etc.

First try the FPS and tell us what your fps was averaging at.

I would also like to ask you. Are you behind a router? Else that can be a problem too.

wat are ur system specs? how much ram do u have? i dont think bf2 music will cause this ...did u try turning it back on and seeing if u had this problem still? im guessing its just the early game lag that most people experience when they first join a game

Yeah i tried turning it back on and i dont think its early game lag cauese 30 minutes in it still lags.

        Specs:
        Pentium D 3.2GHz
        256MB x600 (upgrading soon)
        2GB DDR RAM

I checked my FPS and it averaged about 30.

I dont understand cause i never used to lag like this before.

Oh and i am behind a router but i think i have all the necessary ports forwarded.

If that wasn't resolved, it wouldn't work at all.

I would clean out the logo and video cache. Defrag the drive. Manually update punk from http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling 1.41

How do i clean out the logo and video cache?
I just updated punk and that didnt work.
Reinstalled 1.41 ad that didnt work.
            Defraged and that didnt help.
Im thinking about just reinstalling the whole game all together...

If you do, do a complete uninstall (described on the EA support site) before you do.

To clean out the caches, go to:
              C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\My Documents\Battlefield 2\LogoCache

and delete every folder in there.

              Then go to:
              C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

And toss every folder in there.

if you have SF, go into the other folder in the MODS folder and do the same thing for each mod you have.

                    Yep.
Im running my anti virus stuff now to see if its a virus/trojan/other crap thats causing this.

A fresh upload should allow for no issue. I'm switching my guess to drivers and possible corruptions or gremlins. I'd reinstall the vid and the sound drivers. Check your direct X accelleration level too.
