Problem moving up Rank

I have a little problem moving up rank. I'm currently master sergeant and I have well over 20,000 pts and have all the basic badges required for the upgrade to first sergeant. My prgression meter is full and i'm playing on ranked servers... I have also acquired medals recently so I know that I can still get stuff... I'm running BF2 SF and have all the latest patches. What can I do to upgrade ranks?

If you made master sgt before you got all the necessary badges, then you are screwed out of First Sgt. forever. Your next rank up will be at 50K. Get all the requirements done first and you can be a Sgt.Maj. instead of a Gunnery Sgt.

Ah so that's why it won't work... but is it normal that the progress line doesn't change... that it stays full?

Where is it showing you this? Once you hit 50 and you have all the details in place, you should be a Sgt Major, and get a nifty star, and see the 2nd Lt. a mere 10K points away.
