Hi I have an old joystick which I try to install and fail it is connected to pc by standart port not usb I got windows xp and the joystick is microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback pro how can i install it ? Thanks for your help

Plug it into the game port. Usually on older systems, the game port may be part of the sound card. On newer systems, there may be no game port option.
If you get it and install it, you probably will need drivers. Check out the microsoft pages for them.
Once installed, for a quick overview of how to set up the controls, look through my guide below. it's not about your joystick, but it will give you the "how to" on setup in general.

I used to use one of those mate, an absolute bugger to get XP to recognise it I can tell you.
Do a search at microsoft see if the drivers are still there, thats where I got mine from not that they helped much.
That joystick, although nice enough, is way not sensitive enough for BF2, and with no way of increasing the sensitivity other than ingame, I found that I couldn't use it after a while.
