Hey, I haven't been around for a few months, and got a few questions. If this has been brought up a while ago, my bad.

Which has more servers? 2142 or 2?
Which has more players? 2142 or 2?

Ok thanks for that, I was debating whether to play 2 or 2142, and activity wise it's looking for for bf2.. Contradict me if I'm wrong, but have EA stopped "supporting" bf2 in terms of patches, support, and the like?

Niether! Go get Call of Duty 2. Awesome game, and its cheap!

....but I would suggest Battlefield 2 if that isnt one of your options.:p

While no one knows for certain, it would seem that they have stopped supporting BF2. I have not seen anyone post anything in a long time showing proof positive of any new patches, etc.

I would love to see what the sales were comparing the 2 games at the same points in their lives. Seems as though 2142 has not done as well as they might have hoped for... I base that solely on amount of servers/players.

Will EA abandon them both, and try for another type of franchise?

EA should go back to supporting BF2 as it prepares for BF3 in the future.

So many game types, mechanics to explore in the game. Just today I responded to a No commander server thread. (Thanks for the thread lock admins, BTW) ((This is a forum not a dictatorship)) Different variation to keep interest in the game. So many more armies to model for expansions. They need to keep interest up in order to segue us into the next game.

I dont think that 2142 was as popular as EA thought it would be.

BF2 has remained the dominant game and will stay the deominant game untill Dice releases a new game.

2142 has been out for 3 months now and it is after christmas so its had alot of chances to pull ahead in BF2 but instead its barley holding onto its top 10 spot.

and u should be asking...which is more fun? personally i think bf2 is a lot more fun than 2142 for some reason. bf2142 however has slightly better visuals, but i like bf2 better
