My rank is master sergeant and it says in order to be a first sergeant you need 20000 points and basic badges in all fields and i have all of that but my rank will not go up. can anyone tell me why

You have to have collected all your badges before you hit 20,000 to get FS rank.

Next promotion is e-2nd LT at 50,000.

My esteemed colleague Mega means your next rank up at 50K is Sgt Major OR Master Gunnery Sgt. Get all your requirements for Sgt Major done before you make the 50K and you get a pretty star on your arm :)
