You can only turn all the sound off, not just the radio

That's how stupid the game developer is - or smart. They're trying to cover up their shoddy work with a bunch of voiceover spam. You can't hear anyone coming up behind you, you can't hear a chopper that simply lands on your head, you can't hear a vehicle careening at you from behind, its ridiculous.

It's unforgiveable that an option to turn off voice message was not included.

The least they could do (but would be beyond their programming expertise), is only relay messages to nearby teammates affected by the 'spotter'. No need to play a voiceover about a tank spotted on the other side of the map from the player who hears it... But I guess adding a 'range' or 'radius' function was beyond EA/Dice's ability.. Just like the simple database sorting functions learned in Programming 101 for the server browser..

It'll change the MD5 hash which is what the game checks for.

Either way, I find it stupid that you can't hear something sneaking up on you. I can understand that for snipers and special ops, and assault, but helicopters and tanks? Seriously.

            .
these radio messages are really bothering me and ive been playing long enough to earn a captains rank to let you know how much i play

id like to try this lowering of audio volume files in a wave editor like sound forge, i actually thought of it before finding this post, but i dont want to be a ginny pig and have punk buster revoke my account or serial for that matter (how ever it works)

is there a way to get an exact check sum
like keep clipping the files size to fit the originals size, i dont know much about check sum, i guess the long way of finding out is trying it and checking

so is it really possible that punk buster can void my account?

if i dont find a solutuin here, i best ask an ea bf2 forum member
