    Re: switching in chopper

I used to see this all the time, then I learned to switch really fast.

I cant believe people want to take out one of the most skilled parts of the game, and it would RUIN compeditive play.

I am rather sure I have just solved this echo effect tonight as well ...
I have not seen it again in the tests I just made...

I will share my findings in upcomming faq...
          Thread may be closed...

2: there are times when only one person wants to fly the chopper, this would disallow him to do that, and deny your team the help it would provide

3: if it requires two people to take off, and only one person on your team wants it, he would be unable to use it, and it would leave it vulnerable to theft by the other team

4: it would take too long in some cases to take off.....alot of times, a pilot/gunner team has to defend their chopper, the gunner usually in an air defense, while the pilot gets it up and runnning...

i feel the ideal solution is to limit the seat switching so that is only allows a player to SWITCH TO pilot seat, not from

I agree as I many times have a hard time keeping a gunner.

Yeah. But in your videos, you sometimes shoot off a missile, right before you go to TV screen and fire a TVM... What is that good for? Looks like 'you' click way too fast before firing the TVM.

                i hate that too...

definately, but it sucks when the pilot takes you out of bounds so he can seat swap.... so i agree with the seat swap time from pilot to gunner being longer.

I don't like the insinuation you're making. Are you proposing I use a macro? I seriously didn't expect this kind of post from someone like you, Phil. Anyway...

Yes, switching too fast sometimes causes a rocket to fire or a bug to occur, but I much prefer the former to slower switching which could enable the opposition to "arrive" first.

I don't think single seat crew of a helicopter is a big deal as if you are willing to take the risk of getting killed faster, than oh well it's up to the pilot. I would push for changes like the ability to pick up you're C4 and things like a semi auto sniper rifle(yes it does exist in development) that would be cool. I would have little bird on more maps.

That would solve a lot of the problem. The TVGM are there for a reason

maybe if ppl didnt get redlined, tked, or told to bail out repeatedly until they do, they could learn to gun propperly.....theres only so much one can learn in singleplayer

maybe if people talked to some other peiople and asked them to help then maybe people would be able to gun

I remember asking sloi to help me with flying long ago, we did some practicing on dragon once

you can learn to solo in single player, people here are too proud of them selves to ask others for them

like i said, you can only learn so much in single player.....a bot target is nothing at all like a human target.........to compare the two is utterly ridiculous

er i dont see anything wrong? your gun looks to the left, it will stay there and not re centre when switching weapons. the lines on the mini map is the direction your looking.

and BLUD, **** off u dip****, with so many ******* idiots in this game a player can do ten times better soloing the chopper. no one should have to put up with constant deaths because the gunner cant hit anything.
