Crashing around 62%

whenever i load a map, no matter what it is, battlefield 2 always crashes to desktop around geometries @ 60% loaded... i tried lowering the settings to low, and it speeded it up but it didnt stop it from crashing to desktop. any suggestions?

remove your vid cache and let the game reoptimize the graphics.
