strange you have a pci card, normally see them fitted by people to Dell's with onboard graphics and no agp slot
You will need to go to 64bit to use a decent card, since a decent card won't work to its best as your PSU is most likely too low and the 32bit stuff you have isn't gaming quality gear and will bottleneck the system
this of course means saving up more money and learning to build or knowing someone can do it for you (that really knows what they are doing)
You don't have a PCI only motherboard. There isn't one that took as much ram as you currently have in yours. It's either PCI Express or AGP.
Are you saying that there aren't any PCI-only motherboards that take more than 1GB of RAM? You may want to do some reading, or talk to a friend with an old POS computer.
My parents have an old HP Pavillion with 1.5GB (1GB and 512MB sticks) and they just upgraded to one of those lame 5x00 series cards to try and squeeze a little more life out of it. Trust me, there is no AGP slot in it. I know because I tried to give them my old 9550 instead of throwing it away. I ended up tearing it apart and soldering it back together for practice...
I don't even fry the little capacitors anymore. God bless that card...
The A7V333 is based on the current VIA chipset offering, namely the KT333, supporting AMD Socket A processors, AGP4X, and PC2700 or DDR333 memory.
That is an old motherboard if you are correct on its labelling. You have a medium class office pc basically. It isn't going to want to play any modernish games at all. Counter Strike : Source, W:ET, COD1 (medium graphics), Sims 2, that's about your limit.
You are going to need to save about £500 to get the very basic AMD 64 parts and enough gear to slap in your case (if it's large enough) to get to be able to play BF2 nicely with a high enough frame rate you'll be pleased with the results. Then you'll only have 12-18months out of it before theres enough games out on the market that you'll want to play them and can't, needing to invest in faster tech.

overkill springs to mind, but i guess you use that more for photo/video editing
if you have Intel chips you can put Windows XP on a mac and get BF2 to run that way,
