I would likt to THANK all who told me to get SF

Just bought it and the most awsome thing happend.
See i didnt want to wait until my next rank up to get the l96a1 so i got on my less worked on account, after i had played one SF round on my main account, i played some SF rounds on my less worked on account and the server didnt refresh, i lost hope and logged out for the night, i logged into my less worked on account this moring and saw an unlock choice waiting 4 me....i hadnt ranked up so CLEARLY i found out that u get extra unlocks even after you ranked up then got SF.
i selected the l96a1 and then logged onto my main, and had FIVE unlocks ready to choose......i got the Scar-l, g36e, mg36, f-2000, and the l96a1(king of sniper rifles)

i had so much fun owning with my l96a1 i had used it before but i seemed to do better when i was using MY unlock instead of picking it off sum1 else.

i got my first c4 kills while i had my scar-l and i owned with mg36 and g36e, ive yet to use my f-2000 but i will when i get back on.

thanks to everyone in that thread i started that told me to get SF...it rocks.

allthough the unlocks are cool, it was not worth the 30 buck i spent on it. i havent played sf in 6 months

It may, but the M4 is suprisingly accurate. Great for headshots if you know how to.

M24 is better.

The L96A1's scope isn't aligned with where the bullet actually goes.. M24 is.

I think i can concider myself as a good sniper.

Anyways, yeah, M24 is awesome piece of weaponry. BUT, when taking those 500m shots, the thin crosshair is crusial to have. I do pick the m24 over l96 8 times of 10, but then again, i use SVD when ever i can. Mainly because i play mostly maps with FOV max of 300m. But when in maps with greater FOV, i prefer the m24 over the l96 even if it does cost me 5 extra bullets.

l96 has it advantages in sound, when you're in battle, it sounds like a distant gunshot so it doesn't give out your location as easily as the m24. Don't know why, but with l96 it still is easier to calculate the bullet drop, i guess it's due to the crosshair.

Anyhow, both of them are great and extremely lethal, when in right hands.

And it's true that the l96's crosshair isn't aligned, but the error is so minimal that it doesn't really affect your shots. Not even in great distances. in 500m+ shots, it still pops the head off if you calculate the bullet drop correctly.

there the same for me but i use the L96 more because i like the sound & the crosshair. i get more double reload animation when using the M24 dont know why

as for SF i just love that zipline / grap hook makes for such a different game

I hate the L96A1. To me, it feels so weak, and for some reason, the bullets don't seem to land where I want them to.

Probably due to the operator, though :P.

I prefer the M24. More often than not, I will take on the position as a DM (Designated Marksman) and use the SVD to provide a squad with accurate support fire.

I thought SF was a good expansion as well. I thought it added alot more content, and ended up playing it much more than vBF2.
