Questions about disconnections.

Today when I was in a wake island server I got a massive score but as soon as the last person was killed on USMC I got disconnected, I've heard that you lose your score if you get disconnected is this true, and will my points for the rounds before count?

You get points if:

- You disconnect as a result of your internet dropping.
- You disconnect as a result of your friend blowing up your computer with a bottlerocket.
- You disconnect as a result of Jesus coming down and zapping your computer because you contain too much pornography on it. You dirty perverted heretic.

You do not get points if:

- The server crashes.
- BF2's/Gamespy's stat server crashes.
- BF2 decides to do away with the stat server forever.

If you rejoin you retain your points. Which is a nice plus.

You don't need to rejoin the server to retain your points. The points are saved irregardless if you rejoin after being disconnected or not, just as long as the server itself finishes the round where you earned those points.

If the server crashed, then the round where you earned those points did not finish, and thus; you do not gain any points from that round, because the round did not end, and the stats earned that round were not sent to BF2/Gamespy's stat server.

On a side note. If you were a commander and you disconnected. You do not gain x2 points at the end of the round. You will only gain the commander points that you've earned up to that point, without the modifier. Therefore you will have to reconnect, and regain your position as a commander before the round ends to gain the modifier on your already earned commander points.

Looks like I wont get the points for that round then, I got like two new favourite victims in that round.

There is an award that we all have. The EA Battle Scar. We wear it on our ego's. That one great great game that EA took back via crash or stat servers being down or some other absolute crap that makes you go into your war face.

You'll get your points as long as server didn't crash its a bug in 1.41 can happen to anyone Happens to me atleast once a week.

I get at least one spurious disconnect every day
