Single Player Mode Bots

Hi Everyone,
I am new to BF2. I love it, but I suck. I need more practice. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the bots on Single Player Mode, or should I just try to find an empty server?

click multiplayer, click create server, bots wont load

I don't get it. How do you practice on an empty server? At least with bots you've got something to shoot at. Don't fear the bots man
