    Re: Question about the Screenshots

The way I do it is as follows,

When you want to take a screenshot hit the button.
Then open up microsoft word and hit paste, it should paste in there. It saves it to the clipboard.

Hope that helps, if you let me know what format you are trying to open mabye I can help you as to what program will open it.

Does anyone know if there is a way that flags, player names, and console can be turned off before taking screenshots? Or are we stuck with all the mess in each picture?

they should save in both Jpeg and PNG, but PNG files open in most programs for me, including MS paint and others

                Re: Question about the Screenshots

go into START>ALL PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES and use paint. From paint, go to FILE>OPEN and direct it to
                C:\Documents and Settings\Windows Account Name\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Screenshots

Select your shot and open it. The JPG's will be best to use.

Want to take better pictures? Turn off your hud. Go to Console and type in one of the two below (without the on: or off:)

                OFF: renderer.drawHud 0
                ON: renderer.drawHud 1

                      Re: Question about the Screenshots

You should have software capable of viewing .png's and other image formats on your computer by default with WinXP.

Is it possible you accidently deleted such software?

I guess you could always use something like this.

oooooor you could go to the hard drive you installed battlefield into
go to folder "documents and settings"
then which ever user profile for your windows version your using
                        go to folder "my documents"
                        go to folder "Battlefield 2"
and in that folder there will be a nice little yellow folder with alllllll the screen shots you have ever taken in both .png and .jpeg format

                        -cheers

                            Re: Question about the Screenshots

right click > open with and choose paint or adobe photoshop, whatever you have on your pc.

Also right click and select properties. What are they being saved as ...file extension?

Also go to the top and click on views (little box with littler boxes inside) snd change to thumbnails.

any error messages let us know

Use a 3rd party screenshot programme. I use Fraps which is here >>> http://www.fraps.com/

You can decode where you want to save them and can be read by nearly all progs.
