Widescreen problem

Hey, i have just got a widescreen and have added "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050. as i first put this in it works well and there is no problem, however if i close battlefeild and reopen it i get this

any solutions on how to fix this?

My mate got the same, looks like snow every where:)

Video settings are too high, it only happens to him in 2nd person view though, he lowered his video settings which seemed to sort the prob

Happened to me on my old card, I turned the lights and shadows off and that cured the problem.

dump your shaders (My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache) into the bin and re-load to optimise them again
