Ok lately my pings has started at like 100- and stays like that for a lil while then i rockets to 300+ and then i get kicked. and anutha problem. I play bf2 go on a low ping server and wen im on i sprint round then my pc like freezes kinda fing for a mili second then it geos back n dus it ever 1 or 2 and say i aim i move around looking for people (still in aim) and it stays in a certain point for a mili second agen then doesnt then does. Any ideas or suggestions?

If this is occuring on other servers there are two possibilites as to why it is happening:
1. Your internet is below the recommended Cable/DSL speeds
2. Your computer is below the recommended system requirments
What is your rig? What connection do you have? A quick way to see if its your computer, is to play singleplayer. If you get lag, then I suggest an upgrade. -

nah i neva lag on single but i will try n get back to u. and what is RIG and how i find out my net speed and upgrade what. + my pc found a trojan but 1 i dnt no how to get rid of it and on spyboy S&D i search n remove same fings day in day out;Comment

No I never lag on single but I will try and get back to you. and what is rig and how do I find out my net speed and what do I upgrade. And my PC found a trojan but I dont know how to get rid of it and o0n spybot search and destroy I the same things day in and day out.
The best advice I can offer is remove the trojan with a free AV program such as AVG Anti virus, and furthermore download Ad-aware SE personal, Search and destroy sucks ***.
Furthermore, it would probably help to use spelling that most of the community can actually READ when you ask for help.Comment

Sounds more like a connection problem, are you trying to log onto servers that you have been ok on before? anything changed on your ADSL account? There's a website called www.thinkbroadband.com that we can use in britain that has a DSL speed test, gives you the upload and download speeds. Try that.
Change video setting to all low to see if that helps.
Make sure you havent got any other application open, i.e. messenger, download programmes...anything that uses bandwith.

The high pings could mean ADSL probs, i had similiar when my provider changed something and i was getting pings of 500+!!! til i phoned and got it sorted.
The random lag sounds more like a system prob.
You playing vanilla BF2 or SF?Comment

First it will be your computer. Mine lags or 'stutters' once in awhile, even when I'm at 45ms. My friend, with a newer Athlon XP 64 bit with more RAM, has none of these problems ever.Originally posted by CFC4LYF

Next will be other software robbing valuable bandwidth. Biggest culprits are P2P software like Limewire. Some people have their upload/download speeds set to eat up 100% of their bandwidth. This is fine if you want fast downloads and uploads, but don't expect Limewire/Kazaa/Morpheus to care if you're playing BF2 or not - they'll eat all your bandwidth and RAM if you let them.Comment
