    Sound in game...

    ...isn't working.

Alright so last night I stop playing BF2 round 11pm, everything was alright nothing was wrong and I could HEAR everything. But today when I started BF2 The intro movies and everything worked fine, no sound problems, but when it get's to the screen where you chose from the tabs (BFHQ Multiplayer etc) there's no music no sound no anything, and there's no sound at the loading screens or any sound at all in-game. My sound works for everything else, my windows media player, youtube videos etc. I un-installed BF2 and re-installed but still no sound. What could the problem be?

    erm...longshot, but reinstall sound drivers?

also, do you have hardware acceleration on? if so, turn it off and see what happens.

I dout it's my drivers seeing how I can still play music and watch videos and the intromovies still work, it's just "in-game". And what's "Hardware Acceleration"? How do I know if it's on or not?

in your game options, under audio, turn hardware off, turn eax off, and give it a try.

alright so I went to the audio optinos, and it said "Audio settings" with a scroll down bar so I picked software and then hardware and then creative FX (or something like that) and couldn't get it to say "Audio Settings" again so I clicke the rest to default button and THE SOUND WORKS NOW! So thanks for telling me to click stuff in audio options

            quite welcome.

see you on the battlefield, you'll be staring straight up, though. :)
