Anyone with a nvidia 7600?

I just wanted to know if anyone on these forums has any version of the nvidia 7600 series.

If so, how well can you run your settings and at what resolution? My friend is looking to upgrade, and we're looking at bargain prices, not monster cards. I've read reviews and other spec sheets, but those are nothing compared to actual prolonged usage from the fans.

My cousin have 7600gt card with 1gig of ram he run all high 2xaa you should be fine I'm not sure what his res but I'll say max!

lol, there's really no max :) you can force it to whichever you want, or whatever the game supports.

He'll most likely play at no higher than 1024x768. Thanks for the reply.

I have a 7600GT and run everything on max with 4xAA on 1024x768.

My specs:

AMD Athlon 64X2 3800+ @ 2.0GHz
1.5GB RAM
eVGA 7600GT

I play at 1280x1024 and 2xAA and average around 75-80 fps on all maps. When I play at 1024x768 with 4xAA I average around 85fps.

I play at 1280x1024 and 2xAA and average around 75-80 fps on all maps. When I play at 1024x768 with 4xAA I average around 85fps.

Similiar, but 1280x1024 resolution and a C2D E6300 @2.35GHz and 2GB ram @ 533MHz and averaged 80fps on all maps (something happened to destroy my FPS completely which is what I'm trying to track down). Oh, and the card is at 620mhz core / 1600mhz RAM, OCing doesn't actually make much difference (I'm assuming there's something else bottlenecking).

Not necessarily max for the video card either...forcing it to run higher. More so a max of your monitor. I have a 1,000 dollar Sony 19" LCD that's max resolution is 1280x1024. Above that on non-HD monitors smaller than say...27", doesn't do much. My card can run at 2560x1600, doesn't mean I have the monitor or urge to do it.

I have a 7600GT I've had to read believe me a lot of Benchmarks before I was going to buy it. Since I didn't wanted to buy some random crap card.

I love it. The sound thing is completely not true unless you play without sound. It makes some noise but having your sound normal set you shouldn't even hear it anymore.

Except....


Its loud! I tried to download the program to adjust the fan speed but nothing worked. I might have to get some aftermarket cooling or something.
