Ok,I just previously ranked up from Gunnery SGT to Master SGT,but all this time while i was Gunnery,It said my next rank was First Seargent.

Not to mention..i went like 1k points over 20k before i got the rank...lol

Is there a bug? because i don't see why i'm master sgt when it said i was going to be first sgt.

I could kinda careless but it strikes me odd...
i do remember on bf2s that it said i needed to get basic pistol before i could get first sgt,is THIS the reason?

Aye that's it. Plus if you were wondering, you won't rank up when you do get basic pistol either, it needs to be there before you hit 20,000.

That sounds like what happens when you hit Master Guns or Sgt Maj. If you are only at Master/ 1st Sgt then you should still have two unlocks left to get and your bar should be working. Can you post a link to your stats?

Yes your bar is going to be full until you get to 50000 now. There are dozens of posts on this topic. Check www.bf2s.com for stats in the future it's far more informative than the in-game 'bfhq' menu.

or master gunnery sergeant (also at 50,000)...u need a few badges for sergeant major
