Sorry for this newbish/n00bish question, I'm new/n00.

How do you get to unlock the locked weapons?

By playing and earning points. This let's you rise in rank, thus unlocking new weapons. Below is the points required for each rank:

Join multiplayer game on ranked server. Kill the enemy, blow up their stuff and have a good time. Chew bubble gum if you have it.

You will as said above, get points, rank and there after, unlocks.

Unlocks don't matter. Anything that is good can be picked up off a dead player. 36E is the only worth anything. Also MEC medics that use unlocks are silly particularly the L85 folks. Makes me a sad panda to pick up on of those.

Of course, you will get people telling you that unlocks are for 'noobs'. You can safely ignore these people, they're idiots.

Actually they are, that's why they are so easy to pick off of dead players. Hence don't worry about it, just pick and chose amongst the corpses.
