My brother run bf2 barely pretty good 6200 turbo cache he want get other gig total 1gig ram will it help alot?


Geforce 6200 256mb
Amd 64 2400+ not sure the processor...
512mb of ram PC200 or 300...

You want to aim for at least 1.5gig total for best performance.

It allow him to run BF2 since right now he has less than 512mb or RAM. BUT, even after going to 1gb of RAM he will only be able to play BF2 on the lowest settings.

It would be best to spend the extra money and get a new video card and RAM.

absolutely. 1gb and a mid-end video card will make bf2 (almost) fly.

It's weak, but it'll work. I recommend you overclock it.

When I went from 512MB to 2048MB. I noticed the difference. It's amazing. No more lag when I joined a server.

So my brother wont lag at begginng on meds setting but he turn setting tex on low rest med aa off. So he can run smooth least 50fps? lol

Even if he got 2gb of RAM he will STILL run on LOWEST settings. He needs a new video card and 1gb of RAM.

having 3x512 isnt mutch better than 2x512 since u can run them in dual channel mode

3x512 v. 2x512 will make a difference. most likely the op isn't running a dual-channel mobo with that 2400+ processor.

Upgrading RAM will definitely help, especially since "Turbo Cache" means the video card is probably taking some of the system RAM.

3x512 v. 2x512 will make a difference. most likely the op isn't running a dual-channel mobo with that 2400+ processor.

There are plenty of Athlon64 motherboards offering dual-channel.
Now if it is actually an Athlon XP 2400+ and not a 2.4GHz Athlon 64 it's a bit less likely. In any case, more memory is usually better than faster memory.
