The answer is simple: Don't go on 24/7 Karkand pub servers. I'm sick of people heralding the death of BF2 every 5 minutes when there's perfectly good and well admined servers out there with good levels of teamwork.
Haha, I guess you're never seen GL in PR? That one is a devastating piece of equipment, but you'd never want to use it at close distance without hiding behind something to protect yourself.

Strange how i play PRM but have no problem going back to vannilla on a regular basis i see them both as fun and they both make me dork out, people are different, even thoguh in PRM there isnt much debate on the fact that the l85 rocks, in vannilla, well...i dont know how all those different opinions emerged.

What's the point in posting this here and not in the PR section of the site? I like the vanilla because its...an arcade game. Yep, made for jump in, and out kind of play. If you play with a good squad consistently you would not be bitching about the "problems". You see some guy jumping around and it bothers you? How about you get off of your high-horse and shoot the hopper in the head? Best defense against hoppers is a good bullet. Nade spammers bothering you? A good squad will crush this easily.
The ranking system is fine, it adds to the enjoyment of the game by making it sort of a career. So what if some people obsess about it, why should that bother you? One reason there are so many servers out there and people playing this game IS the ranking system.
Different strokes for different folks. Don't be haters, just remember its a game that you chose to play. You can choose to stop too.

I was tapping my headphones to see if they were working right last time I played a few rounds of vanilla. I couldn't understand why the sounds were all like a zx spectum farting till I remembered the community bought the PR Devs a proper real world recorded soundpack for use in the Mod :)
Bit off-topic but when I re-installed BF2 it felt completely different than what I'm playing now. Kind of stupid since last time I re-installed it and it played better than now. Way to go Patches!
