Question about Commanding and losing server connection

I was Commander, our team was kicking ***. Near the end of what would have been the round, somehow I lost connection to the server. Do I get any points at all? Does the game remember what I did up until that point? If the team still wins, do my points get doubled even though I "left"? How does that work...

Well if the server crashed nobody gets any points, but if you lose connection you still get your points but I don't know about the double points.

If the server crashes, you lose all your points, if you get disconnected/lose your connection, you can only get you points back before the round is over, so you gotta hurry up and join again.

No thats wrong even if you get disconnected and don't go back you still get your points. Tested that.

From experience (I have crappy cable with very slow upstream), Every time I get disconnect I lose my points. Even if I'm able to reconnect, I don't get them back. But I don't play as commander often.

1/2 of the games I play, I get disconnected. Sucks.

Getting your points after a disconnect isn't guaranteed. It happens, and other times it doesn't.

No thats wrong even if you get disconnected and don't go back you still get your points. Tested that.

What about the double up if you dont go back and your team wins?

Well that's because sometimes the "Connection lost" means the server has crashed, and sometimes it only means you have lost the connection.

It would be really great if someone could figure out a way to prevent the lost connection thing. It always seems to happen to me when I have first place in the points race and have enough points that I cant be caught unless I leave the server. Now to be fair it doesnt happen every time Im in the lead, just seems to happen only then.
I really couldn't care less about the medal but would like to stay on the server and continue to play more rounds. After you get one gold medal what good are the others? They dont help toward anything, as far as I can tell, so what good are they? On the other side of it the points are good to have and on the rare occasions I wind up on a server where I can easily kill 90% of the other players, I would like to stay.
I feel everyone has goals that they work toward in this game (at least they should). I currently have 4. First to increase my stats in the accuracy area, spm and KDR. Last to find someone, I can team up with regularly, who plays about the same time daily I do. I dont want to be in a clan. I just would like to be able to count on getting some help sometimes, you know how disappointing it is to attack a flag and think that there are 4 or five others with you only to find that when you get there you are alone.
If anyone has any Ideas, I havent already tried, on how to fix the lost connection thing please post them. A lot of us have, or have had, this problem. . . . . . .Red
